Dear Reader,
The fact that you have found your way to this text means that you might be interested in an internship at Hammer-IMS. In this short text, I would like to encourage you to consider an internship at Hammer-IMS by sharing my experiences as an intern at the company.
My internship project focused on designing, assembling, and wiring a new machine. In doing so, you work through different phases of a customer project. The phases are: mechanical design, electrical design, mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, and finally, the phase of mechanical functional testing. During my internship, I was assigned a customer project that I wrote my bachelor's thesis on, but the great thing about my internship was that I worked on a total of five different projects, allowing me to gain a lot of experience in a relatively short time. For drawing, the company uses the Solid Edge design package. This was the perfect opportunity to break away from Autodesk Inventor and work with another design package. In short, if you enjoy designing but also like variety by assembling and wiring the machines you have designed, then an internship in Electromechanics at Hammer-IMS is really for you. If you have a strong passion for programming PLCs, then this is not the right place for you, as this internship is primarily focused on designing new machines. The PLC programs are always written by permanent employees.
When you do an Electromechanics internship at Hammer-IMS, you will find yourself in a welcoming company with a good collegial atmosphere. Additionally, you will work closely with the project team and share one large office space together.
I hope this testimonial helps you in your search for an internship.
Good luck!
